Python leather

Genuine python, never a print. Every skin is farm-raised and fully documented, each piece is made by hand, and the scale bands fall differently on every hide.

How the sourcing works, and what we do not claim

23 pieces

Python reads as bands rather than tiles. The scales run in rows across the back of the snake, large down the spine and smaller as they turn toward the belly, and the markings are the animal's own. Left natural they stay visible as colour. Dyed they read as relief instead, which is the same skin doing two different things.

Every python skin here is farmed and CITES certified. Because the bands narrow along the length, a long piece like a belt or a strap is cut with the taper running one way, and a wallet is cut so a full band sits across the face. The scales lift slightly at the edge when the leather bends. That is the skin behaving as it should, and it is the quickest way to tell it from a print.
