Lizard leather

Genuine lizard, never a print. Every skin is farm-raised and fully documented, each piece is made by hand, and the scale run falls differently on every hide.

How the sourcing works, and what we do not claim

7 pieces

Lizard is the smallest skin we work with and the most tightly patterned. The scales run in fine rows that change direction down the back, and because one hide covers so little, a lizard piece is usually built from panels matched by eye rather than cut from a single sheet. Getting the rows to meet at a seam is most of the work.

Every lizard skin here is farmed and CITES certified. The scales lie flatter than python and harder than ostrich, which gives lizard a close, almost woven look at arm's length that only breaks into separate scales up close. It suits shoes and small pieces, where the pattern stays in proportion to what it covers.
