Cookie Policy
Updated 13 October 2026
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. This page explains which ones this site uses and what each is for. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.
Cookies we need
These make the site work. Without them you could not stay signed in or keep items in a bag. They cannot be switched off from within the site.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| woocommerce_cart_hash | WooCommerce | Tells the site your bag has changed so the page updates. |
| woocommerce_items_in_cart | WooCommerce | Records that your bag is not empty. |
| wp_woocommerce_session_ | WooCommerce | Holds a reference to your bag and checkout details. |
| wordpress_logged_in_ | WordPress | Keeps you signed in to your account. |
| wp-settings- | WordPress | Remembers display preferences for signed-in users. |
| __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid | Stripe | Payment fraud prevention. Set when you reach checkout. |
Cookies that measure
These tell us how the site is used so we can improve it. They are delivered through Google Tag Manager.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes one visitor from another. |
| _ga_ | Google Analytics | Keeps session state for the property. |
The data these produce is aggregated. We use it to see which pages are read and where people leave, not to identify you.
Cookies that advertise
These tell us whether an advertisement led to an order, rather than leaving us to guess, and let us show the collection again to someone who has already seen it. They are delivered through Google Tag Manager and set by Google Ads. None of them is set unless you allow advertising.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| _gcl_au | Google Ads | Records that a visit followed an advertisement, so an order can be credited to it. |
| _gcl_aw | Google Ads | Set when you arrive from a Google advertisement. Holds the reference to that click. |
| _gac_ | Google Ads | Carries campaign details so an order can be matched to the advertisement that led to it. |
| FPAU | Google Ads | The same attribution, stored by this site rather than by Google. |
We do not sell your browsing data, and we share nothing with advertising networks beyond what Google needs in order to count a sale against the advertisement that caused it.
Changing your mind
When you first arrive we ask what you are willing to allow. Nothing beyond the cookies we need is set until you answer, and refusing takes one press, in the same place and at the same size as accepting.
Your answer is kept for six months. You can change it whenever you like: Cookie preferences, at the foot of any page, reopens the same panel, and whatever you choose there takes effect at once. Turning something off stops it being used from that moment. It does not erase what was gathered before, which you can clear from your browser as described below.
Controlling cookies
The quickest control is ours: Cookie preferences at the foot of any page.
Beyond that, every browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them, and refuse new ones. The controls are usually under settings, then privacy.
Blocking the necessary cookies above will stop the bag and checkout from working.
In the app
The app shows the pages of this website inside it, so the cookies above are the cookies you meet in the app. They are set by the same services, for the same reasons, and no others are added.
The app sets none of its own. It keeps nothing about you on the device beyond what the shop needs to hold your bag and your sign-in.
Clearing them is done from the app rather than from a browser. Signing out clears the sign-in. Removing and reinstalling the app clears everything it holds.
Changes
When we add or remove a service that sets cookies, we update this page and the date at the top.
