Burano Stingray Clutch
Stingray is not hide. The surface is thousands of small calcified beads, which is why it resists scratching and water, and why it feels like nothing else in the hand.
Down the middle of the front runs the pale spine mark, the line every stingray skin carries. Around it the beads are polished flat and read grey against the black.
Eight card slots, two full-length compartments for notes, and a zip pouch at the centre for coins. Lined in soft cowhide.

The surface is thousands of calcified beads, which is why stingray resists scratching and water far better than hide. The colour, though, sits on top of those beads, and that is the part that wears.
Wipe it with a soft damp cloth and dry it at once. Do not scrub. An abrasive cloth or a household cleaner takes the colour off the crowns of the beads and leaves them pale.
It needs no conditioner. Leather trims, linings and piping do, so treat those and leave the stingray itself alone.
Store it in its dust bag away from direct sun. Bring it to us if the colour has worn through anywhere.
