Giudecca Crocodile Briefcase
The Himalayan finish is a gradient rather than a colour. White through the middle of the belly, grey and soft brown at the flanks, with the change happening gradually across the panel. No two come out alike, which is why the skin is chosen before it is cut.
The case is crocodile, structured so it holds its shape when it is set down empty. It closes on a zip across the top. Inside, first-layer cowhide, one patch pocket and one zip pocket.
Twin rolled handles. 38 by 30 by 8 centimetres, which takes a laptop and the papers that come with it.
Every skin is chosen individually, so no two pieces carry the same pattern.

Crocodile scales are horn rather than hide. Heat and direct sun dry them, and a dried tile lifts at the edge and will not lie flat again.
Wipe with a soft dry cloth along the run of the tiles. Blot rain rather than rubbing it, and let the piece dry in a cool room, never near a radiator or under a hairdryer.
Condition it two or three times a year with a product made for exotic leather, and use less than you think. Wax polish collects in the seams and takes the light out of them.
Keep it in its dust bag, unpressed and unstacked. Anything beyond a wipe is better brought to us.
