Amalfi Stingray Loafer
Polishing takes the tops off the beads and leaves a level surface that catches light in points. That is the finish called caviar. From across a room the shoe is plain grey; in the hand it is thousands of separate nodes.
The skin is hard. Scuffs and scratches do not mark it the way they mark calf, which is the practical case for a stingray shoe. The shape is a classic penny loafer, with a slotted strap laid over the vamp.
Genuine leather lining inside. The outsole is leather, reinforced with brass tacks. Slate grey, sizes 38 to 46.
Every skin is chosen individually, so no two pieces carry the same pattern.
- Material: Genuine stingray leather (galuchat)
- Skin: Sanded bead texture with a pale central spine marking
- Design: Penny loafer with slotted saddle strap
- Toe: Rounded moccasin toe
- Lining: Leather
- Outsole: Leather with brass tack reinforcement
- Heel: Low stacked heel
- Sizes: EU 38 to 46
The surface is thousands of calcified beads, which is why stingray resists scratching and water far better than hide. The colour, though, sits on top of those beads, and that is the part that wears.
Wipe it with a soft damp cloth and dry it at once. Do not scrub. An abrasive cloth or a household cleaner takes the colour off the crowns of the beads and leaves them pale.
It needs no conditioner. Leather trims, linings and piping do, so treat those and leave the stingray itself alone.
Store it in its dust bag away from direct sun. Bring it to us if the colour has worn through anywhere.
We ship worldwide. If a piece is faulty on our side we replace it or refund you. The choice is yours.

How to measure
In order to select the correct shoe size, we recommend you measure your feet using the following guidelines.
Wear the kind of socks or tights you would normally wear with this type of shoe.
Stand up straight on a flat surface with your heel against a wall. If necessary, ask someone else to help you take the measurements.
Measure from the base of your heel, keeping it pressed against the wall, to the tip of your longest toe.
Always measure both feet and use your longest foot as your benchmark.
