Monforte Crocodile Field Jacket
Polished crocodile, taken high enough in shine that the edge of every tile shows as a line and the face behind it does not. The tiles run large and square down the front and break smaller across the shoulder and along the sleeve.
A field jacket, cut long over the hip. Four flap pockets, two at the chest and two below, and a belt at the waist that pulls the shape in. The collar sits flat and the front buttons through.
Buckled straps close the cuffs. Dark brown, sizes S to XL.

Polish is what carries this skin, so keep it clean and keep it dry. Wipe it with a soft dry cloth after wearing, use a conditioner made for exotic leather two or three times a year, and let it dry away from any heat if it is caught in rain. Hang it on a broad hanger rather than folding it, so the tiles are not creased across their faces.

The cut of this one
Regular fit. Take your usual size. There is room for a shirt or a fine knit underneath without the shoulder being pulled out of place.
- Tailored
- Cut close to the body.
- Regular
- Cut with room for a shirt or a fine knit.
- Relaxed
- Cut generously, to be worn over layers.
How to measure
Measure over the underwear you would normally wear, not over a jumper, and keep the tape level and close without pulling it tight.
Chest. Around the fullest part, under the arms, with your arms down.
Waist. Around the narrowest part of the natural waist, above the navel.
Neck. Around the base of the neck, with one finger between the tape and the skin.
If you fall between two rows, take the larger. Exotic skin does not stretch to fit the way a woven cloth does.
Every piece is cut and finished by hand, so one may differ from another by a centimetre or so.
