Tropea Crocodile Loafer
Painted by hand, the patina falls tile by tile. Some scales come out almost grey, others hold the full colour, and the two sit side by side down the apron.
Belly tiles run in even rows over the front of the shoe and give way to round pebbling at the sides, which is the flank of the same skin.
No bit and no tassel, so the shape has to carry it. A low collar, a round toe, a shallow heel.
Leather lining, full grain leather insole, leather outsole with rubber inserts. Black, brown, navy blue, dark green and wine, sizes 35 to 44.
Every skin is chosen individually, so no two pieces carry the same pattern.

Crocodile scales are horn rather than hide. Heat and direct sun dry them, and a dried tile lifts at the edge and will not lie flat again.
Wipe with a soft dry cloth along the run of the tiles. Blot rain rather than rubbing it, and let the piece dry in a cool room, never near a radiator or under a hairdryer.
Condition it two or three times a year with a product made for exotic leather, and use less than you think. Wax polish collects in the seams and takes the light out of them.
Keep it in its dust bag, unpressed and unstacked. Anything beyond a wipe is better brought to us.
We ship worldwide. If a piece is faulty on our side we replace it or refund you. The choice is yours.

How to measure
In order to select the correct shoe size, we recommend you measure your feet using the following guidelines.
Wear the kind of socks or tights you would normally wear with this type of shoe.
Stand up straight on a flat surface with your heel against a wall. If necessary, ask someone else to help you take the measurements.
Measure from the base of your heel, keeping it pressed against the wall, to the tip of your longest toe.
Always measure both feet and use your longest foot as your benchmark.
