Aosta Ostrich Ankle Boot
Dark grey throughout, in a waxy finish that leaves the quill bumps standing darker than the hide around them. The follicles are thick over the toe cap and the vamp and open out towards the top of the shaft.
Two straps cross the side and fasten on square metal buckles. The zip is set into the inner side, and two loops at the collar take the weight when the boot goes on.
Leather lining, full grain leather insole, leather outsole with a rubber insert for grip. Handmade, EU 38 to 46.
Every skin is chosen individually, so no two pieces carry the same pattern.

Ostrich carries its own oils in the quill follicles, which is why it stays supple longer than most skins and why it needs less from you.
Wipe it with a soft dry cloth. The raised follicles collect dust around their base, so work gently around them rather than scrubbing across them.
Condition it once or twice a year at most, and lightly. Over-conditioned ostrich goes greasy around the quills and holds dirt.
Keep it out of direct sun and store it in its dust bag with the shape supported. Bring it to us for cleaning rather than using a solvent.
We ship worldwide. If a piece is faulty on our side we replace it or refund you. The choice is yours.

How to measure
In order to select the correct shoe size, we recommend you measure your feet using the following guidelines.
Wear the kind of socks or tights you would normally wear with this type of shoe.
Stand up straight on a flat surface with your heel against a wall. If necessary, ask someone else to help you take the measurements.
Measure from the base of your heel, keeping it pressed against the wall, to the tip of your longest toe.
Always measure both feet and use your longest foot as your benchmark.
